Today's meeting, February 8, opened with the singing of "God Bless America," led by Zack Longley and the invocation was given by George Cashman, with an added plug for new members. Lunch was a choice of either sesame crusted tuna, baked stuffed sole or beef and vegetables.

Student Guests
Our Students today from Newburyport High School were Senior Paul Haberlin and Junior Courtney Crowley.
Courtney is involved with Interact and Student Council and runs spring track. Her favorite classes are U.S. History and Art and she would like to attend either Endicott College or the University of Rhode Island studying Psychology or Law.
Paul is a member of Interact and runs cross country track. His favorite classes are Calculus, Fitness for Life, Video Production and Physics. He would like to attend college majoring in business and possibly become an accountant.
New Member Induction
Karl Grey inducted our newest member, Tom Farrell under the category of Insurance.
Song
Zack and Dot led us in a rousing (??) rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game", since football is now over. According to Zack, we're all waiting for the Red Sox to begin again/
Announcements
- Anne Marie Clancy gave a report on the Frigid Fiver. Over $3,700 was raised. She and Gerry Hirsch thanked all Rotary volunteers.
- Kate Kelly reminded all about our "Love on a String" fund raiser on Valentine's Day. Please call Kate to place an order. Also, anyone able to volunteer to help that day would be welcome.
- Sue Christ reminded us to send in our reservations for the "Centennial Celebration with the Chefs" being held at Nicholson Hall on Wednesday, February 23, 2005. Cocktails will be at 6:00 and dinner at 8:00.
