In the absence of Pres. Geri, Jay McGovern rang the bell on November 9th. We all stood and sang "God Bless America" and then proceeded to hear an invocation given by Kate Kelly. Lunch was blackened haddock or pasta with meatballs. Then Zack and John Budzyna led us in a fine rendition of "Down by the Old Mill Stream" with Ted Shepard at the piano.

Membership Goals
George Cashman asked if he could speak for a few minutes (??) about membership. This year is the 100th anniversary of Rotary and our goal is to reach the magical number of 100 members. We are at 87 now, so 13 more should not be too differcult. Mike Strem asked George about the procedure for proposing a new member, and ten minutes later we all knew how to go about it. Just ask the person if they would like to be proposed and fill out the application. Geri will hold a club assembly at some future meeting where we will all be educated in Rotary procedures.
